MEET LOLAS

Founded in 2011, Lolas is Los Angeles' premiere all-female vocal pop group. Performing a cappella as well as accompanied by their four-piece band, Lolas has headlined Los Angeles’ most legendary music venues including The Mint, The Roxy, and The Witzend. In 2015, Lolas released their self-titled debut album at a sold out show at Hotel Café. Showcasing innovative and edgy arrangements composed by members of the group, Lolas features songs from artists such as Alt-J, The Beatles, Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Fleetwood Mac, Hundred Waters, Selena Gomez, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, and many others. We are so grateful to our advisory board for all the work they’ve put into Lolas over the years, and for the guidance they continue to provide our group even though they have stepped away from the stage to focus on other areas of life including busy careers and parenthood.

AUDITION FOR LOLAS

We’re accepting auditions this summer!

Lolas, LA’s premiere all-female vocal pop group, is auditioning women ages 21-45.  Founded in 2011, Lolas is comprised of dynamic and diverse female vocalists and has headlined Los Angeles’ most legendary music venues including The Mint, The Roxy, and Hotel Cafe. Showcasing innovative and edgy arrangements, composed by members of the group, Lolas performs songs from artists such as Beyoncé, Sia, The Beatles, Kimbra, Alt-J, Fergie, The Beach Boys, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder, Band of Horses, and many others.

AUDITION: All of the following materials are due by 9pm Pacific on Monday, July 7, 2025:

• Submit the Lolas Audition Form

• Email the following to info@lolasmusic.com:

  • Video including:

    • a) you introducing yourself,

    • b) you singing a verse and chorus of a ballad — no instrumental background

    • c) you singing a verse and chorus of an up-tempo song — no instrumental background

    • d) you singing scales to show your high and low range, on any vowel of your choosing

    • e) For Vocal Percussionists Only — a sample of you beatboxing in your audition video

• Optional audition materials:

• Videos/links to your solo performances in a group or performances of your arrangements

• PDFs or MuseScore files of your arrangements

Candidates should have:

• Strong vocal skills and intonation

• Trained ear for harmonization

• Basic sight-reading skills

• Ability to learn and memorize challenging pieces

• Passion and enthusiasm for singing and performing

• Ability to commit to weekly Wednesday rehearsals from 7:30-9:30pm, and additional pre-performance rehearsals as needed

All vocal ranges are encouraged to audition! Ability to arrange music is a plus!

CALLBACKS: If you are invited to callbacks, we will notify you mid-July. Callbacks will take place on a Wednesday evening in late July on near Culver City. Stay tuned for more details.
